PDX Abroad Scholarship
PDX Abroad has partnered with The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) to create the PDX Abroad Scholarship, a scholarship dedicated to increasing study abroad access for underrepresented students from the Portland metropolitan area.
This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who aims to participate in a high-quality, rigorous education abroad program. Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the Portland metropolitan area
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. (as of May 2015, we welcome applications from DACA students)
- Study abroad program must be eligible for credit at the student’s educational institution
- Study abroad program must include at least 4 weeks (30 days) in country/countries
The PDX Abroad Scholarship is considered a “dedicated” FEA scholarship and students will need to indicate interest in the PDX Abroad Scholarship when completing the general FEA Scholarship application. Students apply online at: http://fundforeducationabroad.org/applicants/
The 2017-2018 application cycle is complete. Please check back for information regarding the 2018-2019 application cycle.
Up to $5,000. FEA sends scholarship funds directly to the organization or university on the student’s behalf.
